What does it mean to seek solitude?

Seeking solitude is dynamic.  It may mean something different from person to person.   At its core, we are all seeking solitude.  Anyone who backpacks to a remote area does so to escape the norm.  An individual who offroads through double black diamond trails and sets up camp is seeking solitude.  It is a feeling as much as anything else.  A feeling that you have gone beyond the every day, beyond normal boundaries, and beyond most peoples limits.  Seeing someone make it farther in to the wilderness only pushes you harder.

How many of you seek out the least traveled road, the never-used camp site, or the abandoned building?  How many have reached what looks like a good camp site only to find fresh tracks, and promptly continued on to escape the possibility of seeing other people?

You are a seeker…
